I had to make a cake to celebrate the birthday of little Sara who was born premature and was turning '1' this last weekend. 40 people were coming and I wanted to find a way to capture the innocence of a little girl and yet feed the masses. Why not giant cupcake cakes? Vanilla Bean Sugar Cookie Cakes slathered with Orchid-tinted icing (what little girl doesn't love purple?) and covered with multi-colored jimmies and sprinkles.
