What would a gathering be in the Midwest without these? I grew up with my mother cooking these in apple butter, yet I wanted something different. These are super easy to mix together and offer an intriguing taste for guests. I prefer the little wieners as opposed to the smokies as I don't like the smokey flavor competing with the sauce, but you can use what you prefer.
2 lbs little wieners or smokies
1 1/2 cups Catsup
1/4 tsp. ground all spice
1/2 tsp. cracked peppercorns
1/2 tsp. salt
1 12 oz. jar apricot jam
2 tbsp. packed brown sugar
2 tbsp. red wine vinegar
Combine all ingredients in a crock pot and cook on low for 4 hours, then serve.
