Hawaiian Kielbasa Hoagies

When it's warm out, I always enjoy pulling out my Cuisinart Slow Cooker and using that to make meals.  My daughter loves Kielbasa and recently she also started liking pineapple.  Although we put this into hoagies, it could certainly be an appetizer if you desire.

3 lbs. Kielebasa, sliced into 1/2" pieces
1-20 oz. can crushed pineapple
1 c. barbecue sauce
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 Tbsp. ginger - I used the stuff in the tube found in the produce section)
1 tsp. onion salt
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. corn starch.

Drain the pineapple and reserve the juice, mixing the cornstarch in with the juice.  Add all of the ingredients into  your slow cooker and cook on high for 2 hours.  Serve in hoagie-style buns - enjoy!
