Made From Scratch Heirloom Recipes Cooking Class - June 19th & June 26th

Have you ever wondered what the real version of some things taste like.  Marshmallows for instance, are soft and pillowy - like clouds of vanilla, sugary goodness.  Graham crackers have a subtle, caramel flavor unlike the cardboard version you purchase at the store.  Chewy Breakfast bars have a bright, honey color and become decadent when topped with delcious, dark chocolate.  Come join me and learn how to create these classics at home for yourself or your family.  These will become instant classics to last a lifetime.  I will demonstrate my grandmothers heirloom bread recipe, as well as discuss versions of it.  Lemon Curd, the filling for true lemon meringue pie will also be taught as well as showing you how to make pie crust and what blind baking is.  You will also be learning how to make fresh ginger ale, or ginger beer as it is also known.

Class will be held
July 10th - 11am-2pm

Ferguson - Golden Valley
925 Decatur Avenue North
Golden Valley, MN

'50s cocktail party [remixed] cooking class!

The cocktail party - what adult doesn't long to spend time with friends while sipping on cocktails and enjoying the various flavors of party nibbles. Updated are the flavors of this menu, but still keeping with the tradition of the 1950's. The food is postmodern to put a fresh, sophisticated spin on things. We aren't here to reinvent the wheel, just retread the nostalgia of a time when there was less pressure and life was super chic.
